Design-Build Delivery for Mercy Centerville Infusion Center
Christner Contracting recently completed a fast-track design-build project for Mercy Centerville Hospitals and Clinics. With a tight budget and an even tighter timeline, we were proud to step in as a trusted partner, having worked with Mercy on several projects in the past.
The need was urgent: their infusion services had outgrown the existing space. Thanks to a recent remodel of their physical therapy department, an opportunity opened up to repurpose the old therapy area into a new infusion treatment center.
This project came with unique constraints. It had to be expensed (not capitalized) and fully operational by August 2023. To meet those requirements, we brought in Luke Leyden of Encite Architecture and moved quickly through design and construction.
The finished results include fully reconfigured space featuring:
A new infusion bay with quarantine capability
Updated finishes throughout
New restrooms and a new exterior entry
All completed on budget and on time
This project is a strong example of how the design-build model can solve complex challenges under pressure, with speed, alignment, and accountability.
